Success, NH — On October 15, 2026, at approximately 2:48 p.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified of an ATV crash involving injuries in the area of Alder Brook Road in Success. An emergency response was initiated involving the Berlin Fire Department and a Fish and Game Conservation Officer.

Initial reports indicated that the 34-year-old operator, identified as Andrew Reeves of Eastham, Massachusetts, was traveling at a high rate of speed while negotiating a section of trail when he lost control of his ATV and crashed. Reeves sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Members of Reeves’s riding party immediately came to his aid and initiated an emergency response. The riding party elected to transport Reeves to Success Pond Road, where they met a responding Conservation Officer. Reeves was then escorted to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Following an investigation, Conservation Officers determined that unsafe speed was the primary contributing factor in the crash. Reeves was subsequently charged with unsafe speed.
He was wearing appropriate protective equipment at the time of the crash, which substantially reduced the severity of his injuries.

Conservation Officers remind ATV operators that speed is a contributing factor in many crashes that occur throughout New Hampshire each year. Operators are urged to maintain control of their vehicles and travel at a safe speed appropriate for trail conditions.
