Pittsburg, NH – On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at approximately 12:10 p.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified of an ATV crash with serious injury in Pittsburg on Cedar Stream Road. Pittsburg Fire and EMS, 45th Parallel EMS, and a Conservation Officer responded to the scene of the crash.

Due to the severity of the injuries, a request for the DHART Helicopter was initiated. With the help of Pittsburg Fire and EMS along with 45th Parallel EMS, the patient was transported to Muphy Dam to await the helicopter. The operator involved, a juvenile, was then flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to be further evaluated and treated for his injuries.

After an on-scene investigation, it appears that the juvenile had ridden back to camp after forgetting a belonging. On his way back to meet his family, he failed to navigate a corner and was ejected off his machine after striking a ditch. The rider was then able to call his family and ultimately a call to 911 was made.

Although this crash remains under investigation, speed appears to be the leading contributing factor to this crash. New Hampshire Fish and Game would like to remind all OHRV riders to always wear protective equipment and always obey speed limits.
