Millsfield, NH – On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified of an ATV rollover that occurred in the area of Millsfield Pond Road. Members of Errol EMS, and a NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer responded to the scene of the call.

The operator of the ATV was identified as Maria Del Carmen Soto Quinones, 43, of West Warwick, RI. Soto Quinones was traveling south on Railroad Spur Road-A Trail when the crash occurred. Soto Quinones was operating over a bumpy section of the trail when she suddenly lost control of the ATV, steering her machine into the ditch along the right side of the trail. Soto Quinones and her ATV rode approximately 20 yards along the ditch before the machine ultimately came to a halt by colliding with a small embankment and trees. The ATV rolled over onto its side, subsequently ejecting Soto Quinones off of the machine. She was riding in a group of 11 machines and was wearing a helmet and eyewear at the time of the accident.

Soto Quinones sustained several injuries as a result of the crash. Members of her riding party were able to transfer Soto Quinones into a UTV and transport her to Millsfield Pond Road. From there, a 911 phone call was made by a member in her riding group requesting medical assistance. Soto Quinones was then transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for further evaluation of her injuries. The ATV sustained minimal damage.
An investigation of the crash is still ongoing. It is likely that inattention to the trail was the main contributing factor. No further details are available at this time. Conservation Officer’s would like to use this incident to remind OHRV enthusiasts to always operate cautiously throughout the varying terrain present on OHRV trails, especially in the dusty trail conditions currently present.
