Orange, NH – On Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 1:41 p.m., NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers were notified of a snowmobile collision, with injury, on the Hood Trail in Orange.

A Conservation Officers responded to the scene. Before arrival the operator had been transported by Canaan Fire Department Ambulance to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Through the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Kristin Stephenson, 49, of Eads, TN, had lost control of her snowmobile, leaving the trail and striking a tree. Stephenson suffered injuries as a result of the collision. Stephenson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed and alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors in this crash.

Conservation Officers would like to remind the snowmobiling public to always use caution while riding. Spring conditions will continue and riding conditions will vary.
