CONCORD, NH – New Hampshire’s Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program (BOW) has reluctantly had to cancel its large-format Fall BOW Weekend to ensure the health and safety of its attendees and instructors in the wake of the COVID-19 public health emergency. Plans for an all-new flagship Fall BOW Weekend are underway with an exciting and re-imagined lineup of courses for 2021 already in development.

But there will still be opportunities for women to explore new outdoor skills this year including a deep sea fishing excursion and an introduction to deer hunting. Application forms and brochures will be published at www.nhbow.com when registration opens for each class. Sign up as soon as possible after each program’s registration opens as courses fill quickly.

Beyond BOW: Deep Sea Fishing Adventure – August 16: Enjoy a day of deep-sea fishing adventure aboard The Yellow Bird out of Hampton, NH. Learn the basics of saltwater angling with all the necessary equipment and bait included. Join us for a day on the water and the chance to bring home your own catch! The cost is $225. Registration opens June 13.

Beyond BOW: Introduction to Firearm Deer Hunting – October 17: Are you interested taking up deer hunting? Spend a day learning the basics you need to start deer hunting in New Hampshire in time for deer season. Held at Owl Brook Hunter Education Center, in Holderness, NH, participants will learn about masking scent, finding deer, and much more! The cost is $80. Registration opens September 19.
