CONCORD, NH – Learn how to fish the Granite State’s remote waters at a free talk being offered at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive in Concord, NH.

Hear about how to safely explore remote trout fishing opportunities in the White Mountains. In this session, join retired New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Conservation Officer Rick Estes as he reveals his secrets for trout-fishing success in the back country waters of the state. Estes will focus on planning and preparation tactics for your first remote adventure, and share vital information that will make your trip safe, exciting, and fruitful.

“There is nothing as thrilling as trout fishing in places that are naturally wild and off the beaten path. Half the fun of the day is getting to the water where the trout are, and being deep in the solitude of the woods. But catching trout on top of that? Wow! I am excited to share my strategies and successes, and the lessons I have learned along the way,” says Estes.

Rick Estes is a native New Englander and has logged thousands of miles in search of those lesser-known fishing holes. An expert wilderness navigator and angler, Estes has over 45 years of experience in the backwoods of New Hampshire and Maine.
