Fremont, NH – On August 5, 2019, NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers responded to a fatal trail bike accident on the Rockingham Recreation Trail in Fremont, involving a 35-year-old man from East Kingston.

Shortly before the accident happened, the victim had been riding with a friend, but the parties had become separated. When the victim did not return to the trail head in Fremont, his friend called for help from emergency personnel. Shortly after receiving the call the Fremont Police Department responded and found the victim deceased about one-tenth of a mile from the trail head parking lot in Fremont.

At approximately 11:00 PM, Fish and Game Personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and were assisted by the Fremont Police and Fire Departments along with Raymond Fire and EMS. The name of the victim is not being released at this time until further family is notified.

The operator was highly experienced with operating a trail bike, however the causes of the accident are still under investigation.

Fish and Game would like to remind all riders to operate within their capabilities and to obey the designated speed limits on the trails.
