CONCORD, NH – As in previous years, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department stocked trout during the fall to bolster ice-fishing opportunities throughout the Granite State. “This investment of resources will create some exciting action for the state’s ice anglers,” said Jason Smith, Inland Fisheries Division Chief.

Along with catchable-sized trout, retired broodstock of both brown and brook trout – many of them in excess of 3 lbs. – were also stocked in select water bodies as product availability and timing permitted.

The following water bodies were stocked for the upcoming winter season:

• Akers Pond – Errol
• Big Diamond Pond – Stewartstown
• Cedar Pond – Milan
• Forest Lake – Winchester
• Gustin Pond – Marlow
• Highland Lake – Andover
• Horace Lake – Weare
• Laurel Lake – Fitzwilliam
• Martin Meadow Pond – Lancaster
• Mirror Lake – Thornton
• Newell Pond – Alstead
• Pearl Lake – Lisbon
• Pleasant Lake – Deerfield
• Streeter Pond – Sugar Hill
• Tewksbury Pond – Grafton
• Webster Lake – Franklin
