Waterville Valley NH – On Wednesday, August 19, shortly after 2:00 p.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified that a hiker had suffered a head injury on the Sabbaday Falls Trail. The hiker was Meghan Freitas, 37, of Norwood, MA. Conservation Officers and members of Conway Fire and Rescue, North Conway Fire, the US Forest Service, and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded. Freitas was nearly a half mile from the trailhead.
She was placed in a litter and taken to the trailhead. She arrived at the trailhead shortly before 3:00 p.m. and was taken by ambulance to seek treatment.
