Lincoln, NH – At approximately 2:30 p.m. on October 13, 2025, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department was notified of an injured hiker on the Basin Cascade Trail in Lincoln. The hiker, who was identified as Ye Guo, 53, of Belmont, MA, was hiking down the Basin Cascade Trail when she slipped and fell, injuring her leg. Due to her injury, Guo was unable to walk and required a carryout.

Guo was then carried down the trail to a waiting LinWood Ambulance, arriving at 4:30 p.m. Guo was then transported by LinWood Ambulance to Littleton Hospital for further treatment of her injury.

Fish and Game would like to remind hikers to bring the proper equipment to keep yourself dry and warm by packing the ten essential items: warm clothing, extra food and water, headlamp, fire starter, first aid kit, whistle, rain/wind jacket and pants, knife, map, and compass.
