Injured Hiker in Bartlett

Bartlett, NH – On Tuesday, November 12, shortly after 11:00 a.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified that a hiker suffered a knee injury near Diana’s Bath and needed assistance. The hiker was Richard Goss, 71, of Clermont, FL.

Along with a Conservation Officer, members of the Bartlett/Jackson Ambulance Service and US Forest Service responded. Goss’s knee was stabilized and he was placed in a litter and carried out to the trailhead. He reached the trailhead shortly before 1:00 p.m. and was transported by ambulance to the Memorial Hospital in North Conway for treatment.
