Derry, NH – On Sunday, November 13, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m., NH Fish and Game received a report from New Hampshire State Police Dispatch of an all-terrain vehicle crash, involving one operator, on a closed snowmobile trail in the Derry Town Forest.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., Jose Deleon-Alicea, 34, of Haverhill, MA, was operating an ATV on a closed snowmobile trail in the Derry Town Forest, when he attempted to navigate through a small waterhole and lost control, causing him to crash head-on into a tree. Deleon-Alicea was thrown from his ATV during the crash, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A member of Deleon-Aliceas riding party immediately contacted 911 to report the crash.
Upon notification of the crash a NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer and the Derry Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash scene. Due to the location of the crash the Derry Fire Department utilized their Utility Vehicle to transport Deleon-Alicea to the road to be transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
