Albany, NH – On Friday, September 2 shortly before 8:00 p.m., Brittney Austin, 23, of Lewiston, ME, and Joshua Wheeler, 20, of Greene, ME, were overcome by darkness above a ledged rock out-cropping adjacent to the Mineral Site Loop Trail in Albany.

Ultimately, they were able to phone 911 for assistance. They were over a mile from the trailhead and a little more than a hundred yards off trail.
