Albany, NH – On Tuesday August 3, 2021, Fish and Game responded to an injured hiker on the Boulder Loop Trail in Albany. Jessie Kanter, 43, from Lincoln, RI, was hiking the Boulder Loop Trail with her husband and two children. She was approximately 1.2 miles from the trailhead parking area when she slipped and fell injuring her ankle. She was unable to walk so her husband called 911 for assistance. The accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. Fish and Game Conservation Officers responded along with Conway EMS, US Forest Service, and Lakes Region Search and Rescue (LRSAR) personnel. Kanter was evaluated and treated by rescue personnel and carried back to the trailhead parking area arriving at 2:15 p.m. She was transported to Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
