Stewartstown, NH – At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, Conservation Officers received a call about a single OHRV crash with injuries. Conservation Officers, Colebrook Fire Department, and 45th Parallel EMS responded to the scene.

Kimberly Benoit, 49, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, was operating a “side-by-side” OHRV on private property off Haynes Road in Stewartstown with a youth passenger. Benoit was attempting a tight left turn in a field when she hit a small ditch causing the OHRV to flip onto its right side.

The youth passenger was wearing a helmet, seatbelt, and eye protection at the time of the crash and received no injuries. The operator, Benoit, was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt and sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

45th Parallel EMS and Colebrook Fire Department treated Benoit at the scene before she was transported by ambulance to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook for further treatment.

After investigating the crash, it was determined that speed was the leading causal factor. Benoit will receive a summons for operating to endanger.
