Clarksville, NH – At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, officials responded to the scene of an OHRV rollover on High Bridge Brook Road in the town of Clarksville. A New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation Officer investigated the scene and determined that Andrew Baillargeon, 21, of Chepachet, RI, was attempting to spin a borrowed side-by-side around in a log landing when an improper turn caused it to roll over onto its passenger side, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to both him and his passenger, Sierra Roberts, 21, of Chepachet, RI. Pittsburg Police Department and Pittsburg Fire and Rescue personnel also responded to the incident.
Baillargeon refused medical transport and Roberts was transported by 45th Parallel EMS ambulance to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH) in Colebrook for further evaluation and treatment. Neither rider was wearing a helmet, eye protection, or a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The incident occurred at the end of a dead-end spur road off of the designated trail system. The machine sustained minor damage and was subsequently driven away from the scene. Baillargeon was issued a court citation for operating an OHRV in a manner so as to endanger any person or damage property.
