Colebrook, NH – At approximately 2:21 p.m. on Friday August 9, 2019, a call was received for a dirt bike crash involving one machine with a sole occupant.

A 14-year-old youth from Laconia, NH, was operating a dirt bike in a field off of Cascadden Road in Colebrook when he lost control of the machine while making a turn. The youth sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Colebrook Police Department, Colebrook Fire Department, and 45th Parallel EMS responded to the scene. Due to travel time, a Conservation Officer responded directly to the hospital. 45th Parallel EMS transported the youth from the scene to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook for initial treatment. The youth was subsequently transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in a helicopter due to the sustained injuries.

Speed was determined to be the major factor in the crash.
