Marlow, NH – On Saturday, March 9, 2019 around 9:30 AM, a NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer, as well as, NH State Police and Marlow Fire/EMS responded to a single snowmobile crash between Route 10 and Old Newport Road in Marlow. Andrew Thayer, age 32, of Jaffrey, NH, was crossing Route 10 when he hit the snowbank and subsequently pushed the throttle on his snowmobile causing him and the machine to crash into a nearby tree. A call to 911 was made and Thayer was transported to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for further evaluation and treatment. No further information is available at this time. A preliminary investigation suggests operator inexperience and inattention to be the primary factors contributing to the crash.

As the snowmobile season begins to come to a close, riders are reminded that as snow melts it creates more hazards in the trail. A trail may change drastically throughout the day as temperatures warm up.
