Lancaster, NH – A Fish and Game Conservation Officer was alerted to a report of a snowmobile crash on Trail Corridor 5, near Mt. Prospect Road, at approximately 5:30 PM. Peter Kosewski, 51, of Huntington Station, New York, was injured after hitting a bump at the bottom of a dip in the trail. Kowewski’s suspension on his snowmobile compressed to the point of “bottoming out” resulting in serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Lancaster Fire Department, Lancaster Ambulance, Weeks Medical EMS, a New Hampshire State Police Trooper, a Lancaster Police Officer, and a Conservation Officer responded to the call. Lancaster Fire Department utilized a six-wheeled ATV to transport Kosewski from the scene to an awaiting ambulance. He was then transported to Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster for treatment of his injuries. The major factors in the crash were speed and inattention.
