COLUMBIA, NH – At approximately 12:17 p.m. on Friday, February 22, Caroline Pardilla, 47, of Los Angeles, California was operating a snowmobile on the Corridor 5 Trail in Columbia. While navigating a downhill left turn, Pardilla lost control of her snowmobile and drifted to the outside of the turn into deeper snow, ultimately colliding with a tree.

Pardilla’s riding partners made an immediate call to 911. A response from Colebrook Fire Department, 45th Parallel EMS, and New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation Officer’s followed. Colebrook Fire Department was able to utilize their tracked ATV and ARGO to locate the scene and transport Pardilla to an awaiting ambulance. Pardilla was transported to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital with serious injuries. She was later transported by Lifeflight of Maine to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

This crash is still under investigation, however Conservation Officers believe inexperience to be the primary factor in the crash.
