LITTLETON, NH — On Monday, February 18, Conservation Officers from New Hampshire Fish and Game, Littleton Fire and Rescue, Golden Cross Ambulance, and Littleton Police were called to the scene of a snowmobile accident in Littleton.

Laurie Towle, 46, of Wilmington, MA, was riding with her family and friends in Littleton on the Corridor 5 snowmobile trail when they encountered a very steep and icy section. As they attempted to descend the trail, Towle’s snowmobile slid sideways on the ice and then rolled over multiple times. Towle suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, and was transported by Golden Cross ambulance to Littleton Regional Healthcare. The icy trail and steep terrain were the main factors in this accident.

Conservation Officers would like to remind the snowmobiling public to use caution while riding as the conditions and trails are always changing. For more safe riding tips visit https://wildlife.state.nh.us/ohrv/safety-facts.html.
