CONCORD, NH — Mark your calendars and plan some new adventures for the upcoming ice fishing season, and the New Year! The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is hosting a free ice fishing seminar on Thursday, January 10, at Department headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive in Concord. The talk, Effective Ice Fishing Strategies, begins at 7:00 p.m.
The featured presenter will be New Hampshire fishing guide Tim Moore. In this seminar, Moore will share lessons from his 13 years of experience guiding ice anglers from around the world each winter for lake trout, jumbo white perch, black crappie, and other species of fish. Moore will present some of the tactics he employs through the ice to which he attributes much of his success. To conclude, Moore will open the conversation up and answer all of the audience’s ice fishing questions. “I’m often the one to choose my seminar topics, but I always get the sense that some folks in the audience want to ask questions about a particular species or tactic that doesn’t pertain to that particular seminar. Now is their chance to ask me any ice fishing-related question they want. Whether its white perch, lake trout, crappie, or strategy related they can ask me anything and I’ll do my best to answer,” Moore said. Both experienced ice anglers and novices are sure to learn something new, and get inspired for the upcoming season here in the Granite State.
Tim Moore is a full-time licensed New Hampshire fishing guide and outdoor writer, an experienced seminar speaker, as well as a state and world record holder. He has fished the waters of New Hampshire for more than thirty years, and conducts fishing seminars from Maine to Minnesota.
