Ossipee, NH – The public boat access to Lake Ossipee via the Pine River off of Route 25 in Ossipee, NH will be closing for one day to grade and pave an asphalt apron at the entrance to the facility. The apron will help to control erosion and enhance vehicle traction while entering and exiting the property. The project will block the entrance to the facility so access to launch and retrieve boats will not be available. The effort is scheduled for Thursday October 18, weather permitting. A back-up date will be announced if necessary. The installation will go forward unless it is raining or unusually cold.
New Hampshire’s Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees and federal Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration funds. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s Facilities and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites, and builds new public boat access areas.
