CONCORD, NH — Learn about tactics, techniques, equipment, and calls that can help you seal the deal on your fall New Hampshire turkey. Experienced turkey hunters Fred Bird and Carter Heath will present a seminar on fall turkey hunting on Thursday, September 20, at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H.  The talk begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free. No pre-registration is required.

The fall season is often viewed as a “hunt of opportunity,” but Bird and Heath will show that fall turkey hunting is much more!

Bird is the Regional Director for the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) in New England. He chases wild turkeys all over the Northeast and beyond. An Air Force veteran, Bird spends much of his time hunting and trapping in the New Hampshire wilderness.

Heath is the President of both the New Hampshire state chapter of the NWTF and the local NWTF chapter, the Capital Region Strutters. Heath has been hunting the Granite State for 35 years with both bow and firearm.  He went on his first turkey hunt at the age of fourteen, but started to get much more serious when his son Keaton wanted to give it a try. Together they have created some terrific memories.
