CONCORD, N.H. — REMINDER: Learn how to increase your odds of harvesting a whitetail buck this fall at a free seminar with Dave Priebe on Thursday, September 13, at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H. The talk begins at 7 p.m. No pre-registration is required.
Priebe offers deer hunting advice for both new and seasoned hunters. The key to success is to understand the phases of male whitetail deer breeding behavior. Priebe provides in-depth information on the rut, including the phases of male whitetail deer breeding and behavior, and other key facts about deer biology. You’ll get some important insights on hunting techniques and strategy for each phase of the rut.
Priebe will also talk about areas of greatest deer activity and the effects of food, water, weather, and humans on deer behavior. “Scouting is more than knowing that deer are around. It’s getting to know that deer you’re after,” said Priebe.
Priebe is a lifelong naturalist, a volunteer New Hampshire Hunter Education instructor, and a Quaker Boy Game Calls Pro-Staff member.
