CONCORD, NH – Get primed for fall hunting seasons and more at a series of outdoor adventure talks being offered on Wednesday evenings this fall at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH.  The talks begin at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is free.  No pre-registration is required.

September 6, 2018: Vertical Jigging Lake Trout – Join Professional fishing guide, Tim Moore, as he discusses late summer and early fall vertical jigging techniques for lake trout. In his seminar, Moore will discuss the best locations, lures, jigging techniques, trophy-fish conservation, and more.

September 12, 2018: Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) – Dan Bergeron will present on CWD, the risk it poses to the state’s deer and moose populations, prevention methods, and what hunters can do to help.  Topics will include information about current research efforts, CWD’s impact on deer, how it spreads, and where it is found.

September 13, 2018: Hunting Dominant Bucks – This talk by longtime New Hampshire Hunter, Dave Priebe can help increase your odds of harvesting a whitetail buck this fall. Priebe will discuss the phases of male whitetail deer breeding behavior. Recommended for both new and seasoned hunters.

September 20, 2018: Fall Turkey Tactics – Whether you’re planning to hunt with a bow or take advantage of the fall shotgun season, pick up some tips and tactics from expert turkey hunters Carter Heath and Fred Bird of the New Hampshire Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

September 27, 2018: Pheasant and Pheasant Hunting 101 – Wes Reed, the owner of Rise and Shine Retrievers, will discuss the value of a retriever for recovering downed game and the training process. Scott Rouleau, the owner of New England Upland Shooting Preserve, will talk about hunting tactics with and without a dog, the bird, the gear, and where to hunt in New Hampshire.
