ethan-ryder-atvCONCORD, NH — Effective May 1, 2018, the fee for annual and 14-month wheeled vehicle registrations increased by $30 for individuals who are not a member of a New Hampshire Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle (OHRV) club.

How Do I Get the Discounted Rate?

To receive the discounted member rate, individuals must show, at the time of registration, a New Hampshire Off-Highway Vehicle Association (NHOHVA) membership voucher. The membership must be issued to the individual for the corresponding registration year in a New Hampshire wheeled vehicle club that is a member club of NHOHVA.

Make sure you have joined a club before registering your machine; you will need to present your membership voucher in order to receive the discounted member rate.

To find out how and where to join an OHRV club, or for questions or concerns regarding club membership please contact NHOHVA at (413) 200-8061, or visit

Why the Increase?

These fee changes were proposed by the OHRV riding community and passed by the N.H. State Legislature.

For those who choose not to join a club, the additional monies from the non-member registration fee will provide more funding to OHRV clubs for trail maintenance and new projects, done through the NH Bureau of Trails Grant-in-Aid Program. The NH Fish and Game Department does not receive any portion of this additional fee.

“When riders join a local club, those fees will go directly to that club, which helps to support and develop the trail systems,” said N.H. Fish and Game Captain Dave Walsh, who coordinates Snowmobile and Off Highway Recreational Vehicle enforcement, registration and safety education for New Hampshire. “This will undoubtedly give members a sense of ownership in their trails, and will foster more involvement and club participation, which is vital to the future of OHRV recreation.”
